Anniversary 2027

In 2027, the Weissenhof Estate will celebrate its 100th birthday!  To mark this occasion, the Weissenhof.Forum – a project of the City of Stuttgart for the International Building Exhibition 2027 in Stuttgart – will be established as the new point of arrival for the Weissenhof Estate. We are also developing a new visitor experience concept and preparing a multitude of events leading up to the anniversary year.

Weissenhof.Forum

The Weissenhof.Forum is being built by the City of Stuttgart at the entrance to the world-famous Weissenhof Estate and is scheduled for completion in 2027. In future, it will serve as a key information and starting point for visitors. It combines exhibition spaces, a workshop room for children, a shop, a café, and event and work areas. In doing so, it helps to relieve the Le Corbusier semi-detached house, which holds UNESCO World Heritage status and has housed the Weissenhof Museum since 2016.

The planning and construction of the Weissenhof.Forum are being carried out by Zech Hochbau AG and the Berlin-based architects Barkow Leibinger.

The conceptual development, planning, and implementation of the curatorial content are overseen by a project team within the Department of Culture of the City of Stuttgart, with significant involvement from the Friends of the Weissenhof Estate association.
The new visitor experience concept is being developed in collaboration with the scenography studio Atelier Markgraph, based in Frankfurt.

Construction work began at the address Am Weissenhof 1/1 with the groundbreaking ceremony on July 23, 2025—the 98th anniversary of the Weissenhof Estate.
